A Blog About Dogs

Freddie and Finnbarr, my dogs

Looking at the blog, Allergies be gone-a look back on the Daily Dog Blog  was really interesting for me because I have a dog with allergies.

The blog post told a story about how a dog named Cali had allergies that caused her a lot of severe medical problems. My dog also has allergies, but his allergies cause less serious reactions.  Cali went to many vets some even being holistic vets, but it wasn't until she started receiving steroids that her health improved.

It was strange reading the blog because I have never heard of a dog with such horrible allergies.  The worst allergies I have heard of is my friend who is allergic to five different types of food and has an anaphylactic reaction to all of them.

Unlike these serious allergies, my Golden Doodle, Finnbarr, is hypo-allergenic, but has allergies to nature. Finnbarr is allergic to grass and trees.

It is crazy to think that a dog could be allergic to the basic things that involve their favorite activity: a WALK.  Even though Finnbarr has these allergies my family still lets him roll in all the grass he wants because his reactions are not serious.

Although, to combat Finnbarr's favorite activities we give him allergies shots, medicines and special foods to keep his skin from having irritations.

I wish all dogs and people good luck who are battling out their awful allergic reactions!

"who's that girl?"

When told to research on blogs about blogs I first didn’t know what to do.  Although, then I thought it may be interesting to learn more about a blogger and possibly why they are blogging.

Furthermore, I am often interested by younger bloggers because they are more relatable and really impressive when they are so young; like Ophelia Horton (who is 12).

Ophelia runs a blog called who's that girl?. She bases her blog around fashion because she is an avid fashionista.  Ophelia is also interested in photography and named her blog the way she did because she originally could not post any pictures of herself.

Thanks to Ophelia's blog!

Miss Mia

(Mia the Pit Bull mix)

Blogging about blogs makes it that much easier to blog about many different topics of my interest.

I decided I wanted to give a throwback to last year when I blogged about Pit Bulls by looking at other people's blogs about Pit Bulls.  I found the blog Adopt Mia.

This blog tells the story of Mia.

Mia was saved by a woman who was supposed to become her owner. Sadly Mia's soon to be owner passed away.  The blog dedicates it's time to telling Mia's story and updating people on how Mia is.

The blog's main goal is to get Mia adopted.

Mia's blog is really awesome because it has so many pictures with blurbs about what Mia is doing every day.  The pictures on the blog keep the reader entertained while also tugging at the reader's heart strings.  I definitely think Mia will be getting adopted very soon because the blog does a great job at getting it's readers to fall in love with her.

Good Luck Mia!
